July 23 - Adriana Balic - Five Week Summer Performance Program faculty
member, vocalist and keyboardist , Adriana Balic presents pop-rock originals for
her seven piece group.

July 28 - The Back Bay Brass Jazz Orchestra - Big band jazz originals in swing,
Latin, and contemporary styles will be presented by faculty trombonist/com-
poser/arranger Ben Elkins conducting the 19 piece Back Bay Brass Jazz orches-
tra. Featuring arrangements and compositions by Ellington, Brookmeyer,
McConnell, Holman, Florence and faculty composers Richard Lowell and Ben
Elkins, the band will be joined by very special guest trombonist Jeff Hoyer of the
United States Air Force.

July 30 - Bobby Lee Rodgers & the Herd - Faculty guitarist Bobby Lee Rodgers
leads his quartet in a funky blend of acoustic rock with a bluegrass twist with
songs from their upcoming CD, Apple Pie, to be released in the fall.

August 3 - The Berklee Rainbow Band - Faculty composer/arranger/trombonist
Phil Wilson leads the Berklee Rainbow Band in an evening of jazz.

August 4- City Music/ SYSTEM- 5 Blow Out Concert

Hosted by J. Curtis Warner, Director of Education and Community Partnerships,
this musical extravaganza will feature Boston's most talented inner city youth in
concert at the Berklee Performance Center. Showcasing students from a cross
section of Boston public high schools, this evening promises to be exciting for
all! Noteworthy will be the traditional awarding of full tuition SYSTEM-5
Continuing Scholarships to three deserving students who will have successfully
completed Berklee’s five-week summer performance program.

August 5- Five Week Blow-Out-’'m On My Way Home - The Five Week
Summer Performance Program winds up with this concert featuring some of the
program’s best ensemble’s ranging from small groups to big band and the five-
week choir. Musical styles will include rock, jazz and fusion.

July 29 - 7:30 p.m. - Bob Pilkington - Five Week Performance Program faculty
members perform original jazz and standards led by faculty trombonist Bob
Pilkington.

August 3 - 1:00 p.m. - John Laporta - A concert with renowned clarinetist
Professor Emeritus John LaPorta assisted by Assistant Chair of the Guitar Depart-
ment Rick Peckham and Percussion Department Professor Joe Hunt and Bass
Department faculty Jim Stinnett.
