BERKLEE PERFORMANCE CENTER CONCERTS March 28 March 29 SPRING ‘84 THE RICHARD HOLLYDAY QUINTET - Bebop in the tradition of Art Blakey and early Miles Davis is presented by trumpeter Richard Hollyday, pianist John Medeski, bassist Kevin McCarthy, saxophonist Bruce Revels and drummer Billy Kilson. THE BERKLEE JAZZ CHOIR CELEBRATES STEVE'S BIRTHDAY - A vocal concert of jazz and pop music performed in a variety of settings_is directed by Stephen Prosser of the Berklee %aculty. THE REVERENCE GOSPEL ENSEMBLE - Directed by David Chandler, this concert will feature some of Berklee's most talented student vocalists in a program of traditional and contemporary gospel music. THIS IS IT - WITH ORCHESTRA TROPICA AND FRIENDS - This will be La Tropica's ninth and last concert at the Berklee Performance Center. Come hear this group perform original latin music in a variety of styles, under the dirdction of faculty member Edgard Nevarez. Double Concert - BILLY KILSON AND FRIENDS/ SPARKS LIVE - Drummer William Kilson starts the show with a program of original music featuring some of Berklee's most talented student performers including Walter Beasley, Richard Hollyday and Lynne Fiddmont. The evening continues under the direction of Jeffrey W. Sparks as he leads his group through a fun filled program of singing, dancing and playing. Guaranteed good time; Not to be missed!
