Booga-Booga Strikes Again, ore of the more popular groups around, Booga-Booga presents a program of contemporary music that reflects influences from Armstrong to Zappa. Bill Brinkley & Tony Noterfonzo Present This Time Now With Vocalist Ginny Fordham, guitarist Brinkley and drummer Noterfonzo collaborate in a program of small group jazz. Hypertension (Phrase 1l), one of the area’s best funk bands in a rare Performance Center concert. Urge, bassist Tim Archibald leads his fast rising small group through a program that blends jazz, funk, etc. The Mike Scott Concert, Mike Scott leads his ten man band in a performance of mostly original music reflecting a variety of jazz styles. The Rich Applin Concert, in his first Performance Center effort, facuity guitarist Applin presents his jazz octet in a program of original music. Fly By Night, mixing many styles of today's music, Fly By Night never fails to present one of the season's outstanding concerts. The Fringitization of Ap-Gu-Ga, one of Boston's most enduring and endearing jazz groups presents its annual Fall concert. Moksha, trumpeter Wayne Naus leads his innovative group Moksha through a program of original music. Ed Tomassi Quartet, faculty member Ed Tomassi, joined by fellow saxist, Norm David, presents an evening of *'post bebop’' music. The Hearing, guitarist Jackson Schultz leads his all faculty quintet through a program of mainstream jazz. Come Together, faculty member John Stevens returns to the BPC to present his own unique brand of contemporary music. Choice Blend, composer/pianist Ferrara brings his all faculty big band back for more original music.
