June 20 - Stray Dog - Performance of jazz standards and originals by the group “Um,” made up of Hal Crook (trom-o-tizer), Bob Gullotti (drums), Rick Peckham (guitar), and Dave Zinno (bass). Their new album “Stray Dog,” with special guest John Medeski on organ, is soon to be released this fall by Rope A Dope Records ropeadope.com and internationally distributed by Atlantic Records. Compositions by J.S. Bach, Emmanuel Sejorné, Saint- Saen, Schmitt, Spencer and Lobi will be performed in solo and duet settings, as well as a sextet by percussionist Winnie Dahlgren. July 11 - John Thomas - Guitar faculty member John Thomas presents jazz standards and original compositions. July 12 - Jude Crossen — A six-piece band performs pop/rock originals in “unplugged” acoustic settings, with featured Berklee faculty and alumni including faculty vocalist Adriana Balic. July 16 — The Heart of the Duo - Faculty vocalist Lisa Thorson and pianist Cho Yoon Seung perform jazz duets in an interactive, improvisational concert of standard and original jazz repertoire featuring compositions by Harrell, Rodgers, Zeitlin, Thorson, Cho and many others. July 18 — Tower of Power Ensemble - This Berklee ensemble under the direction of faculty trumpeter Wayne Naus performs music of the famed funk group. July 19 — Maraes De Assis Masters Recital — Guitarist Gustavo Assis Brasil will present a repertoire based on originals and arrangements of compositions by Chick Corea, Bill Evans and others.
