Berklee Performance Center Concerts Lt December 1 - He Shall Reign Forever and Ever - The Berklee Reverence Gospel Ensemble, and the small group, Overjoyed, under the direction of Dennis . Montgomery II, present an evening of contemporary and traditional gospel music written and composed by Kurt Karr, Kirk Franklin, David Balfour, Darius Brooks o7 and Montgomery. December 2 - Berklee Concert Jazz Orchestra - Under the direction of faculty composer/arranger/trumpter Greg Hopkins, the Concert Jazz Orchestra features the finest instrumentalsts in the college playing original music written expressly = for the group by talented student and faculty writers. This evening’s concert 2 S features music composed by Noriko Ueda, Toru Dodo, Laura Andel, Manuel Kaufman, Mike Gibbs, and Alan Broadment. G December 3 - An Evening with the Berklee Rainbow Band - Small and large ""' ensembles will perform jazz rock and fusion compositions under the direction of facutly composer/arranger/trombonist Phil Wilson. December 4 - String Department Concert - Under the direction of String department Chair Matt Glaser, this concert will feature performances by the 27 Berklee Chamber Orchestra, conducted by John Gibbons, performing such o compositions as Bach’s Double Violin Concerto in D minor, A Little Night Music by W.A. Mozart, Romanian Folk dances by Bela Bartok. In addition Professional -1 Writing Division Dean Joseph Smith will conduct the orchestra in an original jazz compostion. The second half of the concert will feature students and faculty performing in idioms such as jazz and folk music. December 8 - Together Again...For the First Time/Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten - The Berklee Vocal Jazz Ensemble, directed by Sharon Broadley Martin, will perform half of their program a capella and half with -~y rhythm section and special guest faculty saxophonist Greg Badolato.
