Berklee Performance Center Concerts February 8 — Gospel Jubilee featuring Tia-Marie Talbert and Overjoyed - Dennis Montgomery, Ill presents Tia-Marie Talbert and Overjoyed in an evening of Original, Traditional, and Contemporary gospel music. The second half of the program will feature various faculty from the Voice Department with Overjoyed as backgrounds. February 9 — Livingston Taylor - Berklee Faculty member singer-songwriter Livingston Taylor performs as part of Voice Week Activities. Fe'bruary 10 — Kelly Hunt - Visiting Artist blues singer Kelly Hunt performs as part of Voice Week Activities. February 11 — George Duke - Renowned Keyboardist, Producer and Composer George Duke will perform with a student group as part of Berklee’s Black History Month Music Celebration. renowned producer, composer, performer, and educator George Duke will perform with a Berklee student ensemble beginning at 8:15 p.m. at the Berklee Performance Center. Duke received his Bachelor of Music degree in 1967 from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and a Masters Degree in composition from San Francisco State University. He has performed and recorded with Cannonball Adderly, Frank Zappa, Jean-Luc Ponty and Billy Cobham. His producing credits include recordings by Miles Davis, Raoul de Souza, Dee Dee Bridgewater, A Taste of Honey, Jeffrey Osborne, Deniece Williams, Smokey Robinson, and George Howard. February 12 — The Singers Night Team Sings! - Voice Department Faculty perform as part of Voice Week Activities. ; February 18 — Jazz Showcase: Rebirth CD Release — Jazz Revelations Records, Berklee’s student-run jazz label, presents a showcase of its eleven artists ranging from an 18-piece big band to neo-soul influenced jazz vocal groups, electric fusion ensembles , to world music and contemporary bands to mark the release of their first compilation album, Rebirth. February 19 — The ESO show: A Wildcore Bruhaha! - Faculty drummer Dave Cowan presents wildcore originals for voice, two guitars, bass and drums and compositions by Jimi Hendrix, Sly Stone and Living Colour. Februray 23 — New Music Festival - The second annual New Music Festival will be held on two nights, and will feature some of the best original music by Berklee student performers. This first night will feature The Elizabeth Ziman Band,The Chie Imaizumi Orchestra, Against The Grain(featuring four trombonists), and Kronrider directed by Ben Maitland.
