Berklee Performance Center Concerts Januray 31- The Big And Phat Jazz Orchestra - Big and Phat is a Boston based jazz orchestra, under the direction of faculty member Daniel lan Smith, featuring several Berklee faculty members and New England professionals. We will be performing original compositions and arrange- ments written and arranged by Thad Jones, Dick Lowell, Ted Pease, Mike Abene, Phil Wilson, and others. February 1-Coming Undone/Songs in the Key of Shilance- Faculty vocalist Kaye Kelly presents original pop/rock compositions for her sextet with background vocals. Then faculty keyboardist/vocalist/composer Mark Shilansky presnts original tunes from his newly released recording Different Songs in a variety of styles including pop, folk and jazz. Fea- tured performers include faculty members guitarists Abby Aronson and Norm Zocher; vocalists Kaye Kelly, Adriana Balic and Jude Crossen. February 6- Joe Stump Live/Human Condition — In the first half, faculty guitarist Joe Stump leads his band performing hard rock and neo- classsical metal compostions. Then faculty guitraist Shaun Michaud presents his band “Event” performing rock tracks from their upcoming relase Human Condition. February 7- The Show So Far... - Pianist/composer Graham Richards presents an eclectic blend of music ranging from drum’n’bass to jazz to funk performed by his quintet. February 8 — Eric Reed- As part of this year's Black History Month Music Celebration, renowned pianist Eric Reed performs with student instru- mentalists Mark Kelly, bass, Kendrick Scott, drums, Walter Smith, tenor saxophone. February 12- Los Changos./C. Benito - Guitarist J. Santillan presents original music with “Los Changos Septet”.
