NOV 10 BERKLEE PERFORMANCE CENTER CONCERTS FALL ‘83 THE TOTAL NIGROIDAL CONCEPT - An evening of funk and rock, fea- turing some of Berklee's finest musicians, is presented by drummer Clarence Robinson. Double Concert- STOP ON BY/SIGHTLESS BIRD- The first half of the concert will feature compositions by Stevie Wonder and Jeff Beck arranged by guitarist James Davis. Vocalist/keyboardist Sharon Harris leads the second half of the concert which will include" many original compositions in a variety of styles. HALI CARNASSUS - Directed by Eugene Ali Perré%, this concert will feature compositions and arrangements by Mingus, Shorter: and others as well as some originals in a variety of settings. Double Concert - DON'T GIVE UP/ WAITING TO BE DISCOVERED Student pianist Colin Brown presents original compositions and arrangements featuring Special guest violinist Matt Glaser, the Chairman of the Berklee String Department. The second half of the concert will showcase the talents of vocalists Marcia Guntzel and Mihoko Tokoro directed by vocalist/guitarist Evyn Schonbuch. ‘ERIK HANSON - A program of all original compositions and ar- rangements in a Big Band setting is presented by pianist Erik -Hanson. § WORKING IT OUT - Pianist Ron Druyan leads his Big Band through an evening of original compositions and arrangements in a variet of styles including jazz. funk and latin. THE BERKLEE JAZZ ORCHESTRA - Herp Pomeroy directs the most pres- tigious ensemble in the college through a program of contemporar Big Band music. YNSQ VS. THE DON'T BE'S - Berklee faculty saxophonist/composer Allan Chase leads "Your Neighborhood Saxophone Quartet" through a program that blends jazz, new music compositions and free impr visations. The second half of the concert will feature original "avant - funk" music performed by The Don't Be's. A UNIVERSAL LOVE CONCERN - Original compositions in a variety of styles including jazz, calypso, funk and latin jazz will be pre-- sented by pianist David Matthews and The Love Concern Orchestra.
