2019 Berklee Signature Series Berklee American Roots Music Program 10th Anniversary Tuesday, March 12,2019 at 7:30 p.m. Berklee Performance Center Celebrating the first 10 years of the Berklee American Roots Music Program, this extraordinary concert welcomes back some of the amazing musicians who passed through Berklee during the program’s first decade, as well as some of the incredible bands that got their start here. Come hear Sierra Hull'11 and Molly Tuttle B.M. 14, the Lonely Heartstring Band, Mile Twelve, Twisted Pine, Molsky's Mountain Drifters, Jenna & Mairi (Jenna Moynihan B.M. "13 and Mairi Chaimbeul B.M. '16), and the Goodbye Girls, as well as Donna McElroy and the Jubilee Spirit Ensemble, Jerron "Blind Boy" Paxton, Darol Anger, Kevin Barry, and others. The concert is produced by Matt Glaser, artistic director of the Berklee American Roots Music Program. Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy Friday, April 5,2019 at 8:00 p.m. Boston Symphony Hall Grammy-winning conductor Arnie Roth leads the Berklee Contemporary Symphony = Orchestra (Julius P. Williams, artistic director) through a captivating and specially concelved program of Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy for the show's triumphant return to Boston's celebrated Symphony Hall. Launched in 2007, in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy, this concert tour features the music of video game composers Nobuo Uematsu and Yoko Shimomura, as well as vocalist Susan Calloway as a guest soloist. This multimedia experience shows stirring screen images—direct from game developer Square Enix-that reflect the soaring emotions of a symphony orchestra and chorus performing music selected from the entire Final Fantasy catalogue. CareerJam 2019 Sylvia Rhone Tribute Concert “ Friday, April 5,2019 at 7:30 p.m. Berklee Performance Center f Berklee's Career Jam culminates in a concert celebrating Sylvia Rhone, "godmother N of the music industry,” and many of the genre-spanning, world-renowned artists she has launched and worked with throughout her career. Led by musical director Rob Lewis '94 (Christina Aguilera, New Kids on the Block, Toni Braxton), the concert will feature Berklee students performing the music of Missy Elliott, J.J. Fad, Tracy Chapman, Lil Wayne, and Camila Cabello.
