Berklee Performance Center Concerts ' - April 11- Writing Division Student Awards Concert - The Professional Writing Division takes this opportunity to showcase some of the best . writing talent in the division. The writers are chosen from among the recipients of the Professional Writing Division Honors Awards. The concert features the compositions of six award-winning students, each > representing one of the six departments of the Writing Division. This year’s concert features the original compositions of: Elik Alvarez,(Film Scoring); Juan Saa, (Contemporary Writing and Production) Ariel Blumenthal, (Composition) Eunice Sim, (Songwriting); Michael 4 Kevetos, (Harmony); Aiko Fukushima (Jazz Composition) In addition, we are honored that Colette Delerue, wife of legendary film = composer Georges Delerue, will be attending the concert to present the Georges Delerue Memorial Scholarship in Film Scoring to Film Scoring students Elik Alvarez and Jae Jin Lee. April 18 - Rock Arranging Live - The 13th annual Rock Arranging Live concert highlights the best music written by some of the most talented student songwriters and arrangers. Under the direction of faculty mem- bers Mirek Kocandrle and Richard Grudzinski, this concert will present a variety of original compositions as well as new arrangements of standard rock/pop repertoire featuring some of the college’s finest vocalists and instrumentalists with special guest faculty member guitarist Jon Finn. April 19 - Requiem by John Rutter - The Concert Choir - The Berklee Concert Choir performs, under the direction of faculty member Anne Peckham will perform Requiem by John Rutter featuring faculty vocalist Robin Ginenthal as a soloist with harp, cello, flute, oboe, timpani and organ ensemble. In addition, Anne Peckham & the Berklee Women will perform Libby Larsen’s Canticle of the Sun with women from the Boston Conservatory Choir directed by faculty member Sharon Brown. Move- S ments from Requiem by W.A. Mozart will finish the program. April 20 - Concert Jazz Orchestra - Under the direction of faculty com- poser/arranger/trumpeter Greg Hopkins, the Concert Jazz Orchestra features the finest instrumentalists in the college playing original music written expressly for the group by talented student and faculty writers.
