David Friend Recital Hall Concerts April 6 [1:00 pm] Berklee Marimba Concert, directed by Nancy Zeltsman and Dean Ander- son - This program will feature members of two Berklee Marimba Ensembles and two marimba solo performers: Tj Thompson and Nabonita Nag. Music by Fitkin, Gershwin, Kopetzki, A. Lauro, Moszkowski, Tarrega and others will also be performed. April 6 [4:00 pm] - Berklee Composers Ma- rimba Concert, directed by Nancy Zeltsman and Andrew List - The selected works from the recent “Call for Scores” includes solo and small ensemble works by Berklee compos- ers Seth Boggess, Christopher Carmichael, Andres Espinoza, Tommy Pedrini Roberto Toscano, and Sung-hye Yoon. These works will be performed by Berklee marimbists and members of the Berklee Marimba Ensembles. April 6 [7:30 pm| Seth Woodard: Senior Marimba Recital April 10 - Kind of Red — Pianist Joo Heon Kim will perform original modern jazz with for trio and special guests. April 11-The Game of Fame Concert/Work- shop - Original music written for a faculty grant received in May 2005 will be per- formed by faculty pianist/composer JoAnne Brackeen and her quartet including Lakecia Benjamin, alto saxophone; Ugonna Okegwo, bass and Kendrick Scott, drums. April 19 — Senior Voice Recital: Nona Boehm - A program of contemporary music, jazz and originals will be presented by vocalist Nona Boehm and her band for her senior recital. April 24 - [1:00pm] - Advanced Small Band Ensemble - Post Bop and contemporary jazz compositions by John Coltrane, Dave Liebman, Mike Brecker and Freddie Hubbard will be performed by this six piece ensemble directed by Ed Tomassi. April 24 — [2:30pm] - 21st century Grooves — David Fiuczynski leads this ensemble performing originals and unique modern groove arrangement of covers with intense improvisational interplay. April 24 — [4:00pm] —Caribbean Ensemble - Faculty member Winston Maccow presents his student ensemble performing music from the Caribbean Islands. April 24 - [7:30pm| — Clarinet Choir — Un- der the direction of Peter Cokkinias, this ensemble performs traditional and contempo- rary music for clarinet. April 25 - [1:00pm] — Reggae/Dub Ensemble - Faculty member Winston Maccow presents his student ensemble performing reggae and dub music. April 25 - [2:30pm] — Brazilian Jazz — Faculty member Fernando Brandao leads this student ensemble performing jazz from Brazil including compositions by Caetano Veloso, Milton Nascimento and Brandao.
