BERKLEE PERFORMANCE CENTER CONCERTS April 12 April 17 SPRING ’84 THIS IS IT - WITH ORCHESTRA TROPICA AND FRIENDS - This will be La Tropica's ninth and last concert at the Berklee Performance Center. Come hear this group perform original latin music in a variety of styles, under the direction of faculty member Edgard Nevarez. Double Concert - BILLY KILSON AND FRIENDS/e& SPARKS LIVE - Drummer William Kilson starts the show with a program of original music featuring some of Berklee's most talented student performers including Walter Beasley, Richard Hollyday and Lynne Fiddmont. The evening continues under the direction of Jeffrey W. Sparks as he leads his group through a fun filled program of singing, dancing and playing. Guaranteed good time; Not to be missed!: MASH POTATOES - Original electronic fusiom, composed by faculty member David S. Mash will be performed by some of Berklee's finest student musicians. &. THE INTERNATIONAL DUES BAND returns to the Performance Center stage under the direction of trombonist Phil Wilson for yet another exciting evening of Big Band music. SIGNATURE - A variety of styles including jazz, new wave and rock will be explored by John P.T. Morris and his group. AND IN CONCLUSION - Student trumpeter Mark Greel presents an evening of mainstream and contemporary jazz in a variety of settings, featuring vocalist Becky Paris.
