Mirella Costa Hailing from Brazil, Mirella Costa earned her bachelor's degree in popular music, Brazilian music, and jazz from the Souza Lima Music Conservatory in S&o Paulo. In 2016, she recorded her first album, Minha Arca, which earned her an award for new gospel artist of the year award in Brazil. Shortly after, she was awarded a full scholarship to study at Berklee, courtesy of the Latin Grammy Foundation, making her the first and only Brazilian singer to receive this award. Since graduating from Berklee in 2018, she has amassed an impressive performance portfolio, including featured roles in concerts with Grammy Award-winners Milton Nascimento, Kurt Elling, and Oscar Stagnaro. She has also performed with Gretchen Parlato, Fernando Brandao, Gilson Schachnik, Nando Michelin, Mark Walker, among others. Now based in New York City, she is already making a name for herself on the jazz scene, with appearances at legendary jazz venues including Birdland Jazz Club, Zinc Bar, Arlene's Grocery, Mezzrow Jazz Club, and Smalls. = Marty Walsh ' Musical Director Aveteran of the Los Angeles studio music scene, Marty Walsh has worked as a guitarist with some of the biggest names in the business. A veteran of the Los Angeles studio music scene, he has worked as a guitarist with some of the biggest names in the business. The early 1980s found him on the hits including "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton, "She Works Hard for the Money” by Donna Summer, and "Heartlight" by Neil Diamond. He also recorded with John Denver, Eddie Money, Kenny Rogers, Sheena Easton, and Julio Iglesias, among others. In 1985, Walsh played guitar on the Supertramp album Brother Where You Bound, toured with the band from 1985-86 and again in 1988 after playing on their 1988 release, Free as a Bird. Continuing to do recording sessions into the 1990s, he performed on three of LeAnn Rimes' albums, including I Need You, whose title track set the record for consecutive weeks (54) in the Billboard Top 40. Walsh can also be heard on the Freddie Jackson single "Until the End of Time,” which reached the top spot on Billboard's R&B charts. As a producer and composer, Walsh has written and produced songs or cues for 20th Century Fox Film, NBCTV, CBS TV, Entertainment Tonight, and Extra, to name a few. His career has taken him from his native New York to musical venues around the globe, and has involved virtually every musical genre. He is currently Artistic Director and Conductor of the Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra in Boston, Music Director and Conductor of the Trilogy: An Opera Company in New Jersey, and President of the Conductors Guild of American Conductors. He also serves as a composer in residence with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and is cover to maestro Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Orchestra. In Europe, Williams has performed and recorded with ensembles including the Prague Radio Symphony, the Moscow Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, the Dvorak Symphony Orchestra, the Dubrovnik Symphony of Croatia, and the Music Festival of Costa del Sol, Spain. - A prolific composer, Williams has created works for virtually every genre of contemporary classical performance, including opera, ballet, orchestra, chamber ensemble, chorus and solo voice, dance, musical theater, and film.
