April 2 April 3 April 5 Berklee Performance Center Concerts SPRING 1990 ONCE AGAIN—MORE CHORD SCALE MADNESS/THE BERKLEE BUDDY RICH ENSEMBLE —Faculty guitarist/arranger Jackson Schultz presents the best student arrangements from the Chord Scales for Arrangers class performed by a student ensemble. Then, faculty trum- peter Wayne Naus presents the music of the late bandleader/drummer Buddy Rich performed by Berklee’s own Buddy Rich Ensemble. AN EVENING WITH THE BERKLEE RAINBOW BAND —Faculty composer/arranger/trombonist Phil Wilson presents the internationally diverse Rainbow Band performing original jazz fusion compositions. Featured students include arranger/composer Daniel Hamuy, vocalist Cynthia Tignor, guitarist Bernd Schoenhart, pianist Jorge Martinez, trombonist Dennis Brockenborough and drummer Fernando Martinez. SONGWRITERS’ NIGHT VI—Faculty songwriter Bob Weingart presents the winning songs in the Songwriting Department’s annual schoolwide competition. The music, in a variety of pop styles, will be performed by a specially chosen student ensemble.
