The Brian Lewis Big Band will assist by performing in different combinations. PERCUSSION UNLIMITED WITH GARY BURTON AND PETER ERSKINE—Berklee’s top percussion ensemble performs con- temporary compositions by Christopher Rouse, Terry Riley, Jeff Fischer and Berklee faculty member Earl Stewart. In addition, the Gary Burton Quintet will be featured with guest artist Peter Erskine in a world pre- miere of a composition by composer/arranger Vincent Mendoza. SPRING STRING FLING—String Department Chairman Matt Glaser presents a string extravaganza with special guest violinists John Blake, Mark O’Conner, Joe Kennedy and Claude Williams performing styles from jazz to bluegrass in a variety of settings. COME AND GO WITH ME—Berklee’s Reverence Gospel Ensemble, under the direction of Lori Roberts with faculty advisors Orville Wright and Walter Beasley will present a program of traditional and con- temporary gospel music by Walter Hawkins, Thomas Whitfield, Milton Brunson and others. VOX ONE/HIGH ANXIETY WITH THE BERKLEE BOPPERS— Vocalist Yumiko Matsuoka presents the vocal quintet “Vox One” in a program of acapella arrangements of jazz and pop tunes. In the sec- ond half, Voice Department faculty member Cheryl Hodge directs the Berklee Boppers performing jazz compositions and arrangements by Gene Aitken, Richie Cole and Berklee faculty member Jerry Cecco.
