Whitney Houston Symposium Presented by Jetro da Silva Gary Michael Houston - The Houston Family formally introduces you to Gary Michael Houston, also known as E.D.O.T. Often referred to as a "3rd Generation Performer" E.D.O.T, which stands for "Every Drop of Talent," comes from a long line of musicians including, but not limited to, his aunt pop-icon Whitney Houston. Being the eldest grandson of gospel legend Cissy Houston, E.D.O.T. gained an immense affinity for not only music but the music business itself at a very early and intimate age. His roots are the same roots of hip hop, from gospel to pop to his current genre, he has been exposed to this history on a high level. “I've been making music since forever. I've watched people become successful and make mistakes.... | feel like I'm more seasoned for this type of game," says Houston, who writes and co-produces all of his own material both vocally and visually. Professor Jetro da Silva - Jetro performed with Stevie Wonder at the "House Full of Toys" fund- raiser and with Whitney Houston at the Winter Olympics in 2006, which was held in Turin, Italy. In 2009, Jetro da Silva performed with his Jazz trio before President Barack Obama surprising visit for the Fundraiser event for to Boston Governor Patrick. In 2010, Jetro performed with Ms. Whitney Houston as her keyboardist and guitar player for Whitney Houston at the “Nothing but Love World Tour." Da Silva joined Ms. Houston musical family in 1999. Most recently, Da Silva recorded with Mr. Raul Midon. Jetro's experience, training as keyboardist/producer/arranger has increased his opportunity to work with people such as: Whitney Houston, Jamie Foxx, Patti Labelle, Pastor Andrae Crouch, Earth Wind and Fire, Chaka Khan, The Pointer Sisters, Gladys Knight, Brandy, Sheila E., Namie Amuro, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Kem, Celine Dion, Patti Austin, Emilio Santiago, Monica, Mary Mary and many others. Michael Trammel - After majoring in Music Business/Management, I've worked in the music busi- ness for years. | was blessed to be a key part of the team that developed recording stars such as Usher, Diddy, R. Kelly, Toni Braxton, TLC, Dave Mathews Band, 'N Sync, and Outkast, to name just a few. I've also worked for record distributors and Jive Records. Presently, I'm an industry consultant specializing in sales, distribution, marketing, and product-brand development. | also devote time to High School Jamz and It Takes SMAFTS Foundation's "Saving Music, Arts and Technology" at unde- served schools. Soon I'll hit the studio to record my own album with Grammy Award winner Tony Rich producing.
