to use lyric structure (your hidden film score) to highlight
important ideas and deepen emotional impact.

“Eduspeak” Translated: Finding a Common
Vocabulary

150 Massachusetts Avenue, Room 126

Every profession uses vocabulary in unique ways. In the
world of education, we use carefully chosen language and
acronyms. For example, the term “proficiency” means
different things in different departments at Berklee. It means
something else in the K-12 education world, and has yet
another definition in the business world. If you've ever been
confused about what seems like educational jargon, or felt
the need to inform others about educational practice, this
session will get everyone on the same page, giving context
and background to “eduspeak.” We will work together

to produce a document that can be used to facilitate our
professional conversations.
