February February February February February February February BERKLEE PERFORMANCE CENTER CONCERTS 10 14 15 SPRING ’'83 THE ANTIGRAVITY JAZZ BAND With Special Guests DAVID LOCKE and GEORGE GARZONE - An eclectic evening of American Jazz, Eastern, South American, and Caribbean traditions is presented by faculty member Bob Pilkington and his 16 piece ensemble COMETT IS BACK! - An exploration into high energy fusion is offered by student guitarist Patrick Viau de Caumette and his talented group Comett. JAN JARCZYK AND HIS TWELVE PIECE ORCHESTRA - Faculty composer Jan Jarczyk leads his group through a program of original contemporary jazz. AN EVENING OF MUSIC FOR PIANO TRIO AND VOICE - Faculty percussionist Joe Hunt presents a concert of jazz standards and originals featuring the talents of Tony Zano, Teddy Kotick and Mary Connally. ALTERNATE SOURCE - The styles of Miles Davis and s Weather Report are the main influences behind this program of contemporary music directed by faculty trumpeter Bill Scism. Guitarist Bill Brinkley and keyboardist Steve Olenick, of the Berklee Faculty will be featured. A DOUBLE CONCERT: VALENTINE'S DAY MASSACRE/TOP SECRET - The first half of the evening's program will showcase Graeme Bird's pop, funk and jazz arrangements with vocalist Scarlett Antaloczy and an outstanding studio orchestra. Top Secret with the C.I.A. Band will round out the evening with the big band writing of leader Leonard Moore and others. MAN MADE MUSIC - Leading his quintet through an evening of original contemporary jazz, faculty guitarist Jeff Putterman promises an exciting program of music.
