The spring of 1998’s will mark the 15th anniversary of Singers' Showcase

which was conceptualized by Associate Vice President for International Affairs
Larry Monroe while chair of the Professional Performance Division. This
evening's concert is the 29th show in the series. The concert provides the
opportunity for students to showcase their skills and talents in a professional
setting. The vocalists for this evenings performance participated in a series of

auditions which are open to all students at the beginning of both the fall and

spring semesters. On the average, there are approximately 70-80 singers that

audition each semester. The singers

finalists of the Singers' Showcase auditions from this past fall. The show also

that are performing this evening are the

features some of the college's finest student instrumentalists and arrangers as

well as students providing the lighting, stage crew, and ushers for this evening's

performance.
