His background includes television and recording ex- perlence, and he is currently performlng on a regular ba51s in this area. "AZex.UZdfiowsky (Keyboards): In the past,few years Mr, Ulanowsky has performed as a jazz and occasional studio pianist in this area and in Europe. He has lectured to - educators' groups on keyboard improvisation and jazz ~harmony, and he is currently chalrman of Berklee S- Harnony ‘Department ’ e s e S 'Ted Pease (drums) Mr Pease is chalrman of the Arranging Department and co-leader of the Ted Pease-Larry Monroe Big " Band. A well known lecturer and educator, as well as com- poser, arranger and performer, he has received a grant from the National Endowment For The Arts to wrlte a Suite for Jazz Orchestra Tony.Tezxetra (bass): A well known bassist and‘compoSer/ arranger, Mr. Teixeira is also an established writer of ~ music for television and radio commercials. He has ad- ~ditionally developed Berklee courses in Pop. Song Writing, The Mu51c Bu51ness, ‘and of course, Jlngle ertlng Jfin Saito (drums) Orlglnally from Tokyo Japan Mr. Saito has quickly established a reputation as one of Boston s fine young drummers. As a student at Berklee he has played with a number of excellant jazz groups, and last year won 'r,the Buddy R1ch Scholarshlp - Jack Dryden (bass) Mr. Dryden, who is from Bloomfleld Hills, Michigan, has spent the past four years in Boston studying at Berklee. He is now a senior composition student, ~and plays w1th a varlety T Jazz, c1a551ca1 and show groups o the area. : = W
