BERKLEE PERFORMANCE CENTER CONCERTS FALL ‘84 A TRIBUTE TO NEW ORLEANS - Two of Berklee's faculty members, clarinetist John LaPorta and pianist Bob Winter join forces to present a program featuring the music of Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington and Charles Mingus as well as some original compositions on the New Orleans theme. FORMERLY WITH NO-ONE - Faculty saxopohonist Greg Badolato and guitarist Mordy Ferber will direct their ensemble through an evening of original jazz compositions featuring special guest, faculty vibraphonist Ed Saindon. October 1 THROUGH THE AGES - Student drummer Robert Hart and his quartet will present an evening of progressive jazz-rock compositions by group members John Seppala and Rob Mathes. October 9 JOHN DAMIAN & BILL FRISELL IN CONCERT - Faculty guitarist Jon Damian and guitarist Bill Frisell return to the Berklee Performance Center to present a program of original jazz compositions. October DOUBLE RIGGS - Faculty Percussionist Ed Uribe returns to the BPC stage to present a program of original contemporary fusion featuring trumpeter Tiger Okoshi, October AT THE TORTILLA FACTORY - A program of Latin Jazz is directed by vibraphonist Victor Mendoza. October THE INCREDIBLE FLYING YEWCHUK BROTHERS/IMPRESSIONS - The first half of the concert will feature jazz/rock composed and arranged by leader David Yewchuk. In the second half Ronald Jackson leads his group through an evening of jazz fusion featuring special guest, faculty saxophonist Herman Johnson.
