A New Beginning — Vocalist Lisa Harrigan will present a program of
varied musical styles including jazz, funk, gospel, calypso and reggae.
Her special guests will be the “Reverence Gospel Ensemble” and “The
Boston Conservatory Dancers.”

Music For Manics — A concert of new chamber works by members of
the composition department directed by George Cordeiro will feature
works by Cordeiro, Tom McQGah, Dennis LeClaire, Matthew Marvuglio,
and Chris Frigon.

Decahedron, In Concert — Ken Pullig’s 10 piece band is the ideal
forum for the adventuresome jazz writing of Ken and guitarist Bill
Brinkley. A highlight of the program will be the presentation of
“Synapse” a major work by Pullig.

Stairway to the Stars — Part Il — In varied musical settings, from trio
to big band, vocalist Sheila Ford will iead a program of jazz, broadway,
gospel, classical, and funk. The "Reverence Gospel Ensemble” will be
featured as her special guests.

The Berklee Jazz Orchestra — Directed by Herb Pomeroy, this is the
most prestigious ensemble in the college in a program of contemporary
big band music.

Woodwind Trio — Faculty member Matt Marvuglio will present a concert
of chamber music with selections from both classical and modemn
periods.

DOUBLE CONCERT: The Modern Troubadour and Act V — The first
half of the concert will be a presentation combining dance with contem-
porary big band sounds, featuring original compositions and arrange-
ments by leader Buddy Andrews and others. Also featured will be
dancers from the Boston Conservatory of Music. The second half will
showcase original fusion/jazz utilizing a sextet comprised of some of
Berklee's finest players; this program will cap an innovative evening of
music.

“Overtones” — The Peter Dick Septet — This intriguing student
group makes its second Performance Center appearance with a pro-
gram of original jazz music by the leader.

“Swingin’ Singin’ ** with the Berklee Jazz Choir — Directed by
Stephen Prosser, the Jazz Cholr will present a concert featuring songs
in a variety of styles: including pop, jazz, rock, and funk a cappella
arrangements by Greg Hopkins, Steve Prosser, Barrie Nettles, and Gene
Puerling.
